The Street Food Karavan is a collection of a dozen trucks serving tasty food and drinks. It is located next to the ruin bars on Kazinczy Utca in the Jewish Quarter. There you will find everything from gourmet burgers to Mexican food, langos, kolbasz sausages, fried cheese, and chimney cakes.

They also offer some of the best vegan food in the city at Las Vegans’ stand. Being situated in the middle of Budapest’s biggest party streets it’s the ideal spot for a bite before hitting one of the many pubs and even better as a late-night snack. On the former premises of the defunct ruin pub, Racskert has five food trucks in its garden all serving food solely made from plant-based street food including burgers from Las Vegans, ice cream from Hideg Nyalat, Mexican food from Vexicana and dishes with Middle Eastern flavors from Kristof’s Kitchen. The fun of Vegan Garden is in grabbing a table and mixing and matching dishes from the dozen or so trucks crammed into the space.

Leves is a street food flagship and one of the most popular high-quality fast food restaurants in the center of Budapest. The place was start-up by two young men who work here and share the belief that service starts with a smile.

6. Krumplis Langos

In Obuda in the Florian ter underpass, you will find Krumplis Langos where you can eat pancakes, waffles, and Langos with various extras. Langos is a famous Hungarian street food that is basically fried bread dough and the basic dough is made of water or milk, yeast, flour, and salt.

The restaurant employs a moist, high-gluten dough that, after a lengthy fermentation, rises into a chewy-like structure interspersed with air pockets, with a crispy crust and a charred underbelly.

Toppings available include tomato sauce, mortadella, arugula, sausage, mushrooms, and truffles.
