Maps of Paris you need to easily find your way and visit the city

Here is a little list of the maps of Paris you need to visit our city. They will allow you to find your way in the city!

Metro map

The metro is the most convenient way to travel in Paris; even if it sometimes stinks (I won’t deny that my lovely Paris isn’t perfect) the metro is fast. It’s definitely one of the maps of Paris you need. Read this article if you want more information about how to use the metro.

Bus map

Even if most young Parisians don’t like bus, I do (for more information read our guide)! Because I love my city and some buses are way less expensive than a tour but drive where you can enjoy the wonders of Paris. The bus map is definitely one of the maps of Paris you need!

For example the bus Nº96 goes from Montparnasse to Porte des Lilas by the Quai de Seine, Saint Paul and its church, but also Saint Michel and its fountain, Châtelet, the Hôtel de Ville, and Place des Vosges! Take a look at which bus you can take to go from one place to another. You may miss important highlights of the city by taking the metro.

Train RER map

Trains and RER are the best way to go out of Paris: to La Défense, or Versailles as examples. But it is slower than the metro to travel inside the city. Once again, here is one of the maps of Paris you need! Concerning the public transportations, it may be easier for you to plan your trip on the website of the RATP which exists in English.

Map of Places to see or visit

So you can check what to visit in one single day, it may be smarter to visit the Musée du Louvre, the Musée d’Orsay and the Tour Eiffel the same day.

Tickets can be difficult to find at the door. Our advice would be to purchase them in advance to avoid waiting in what can be super long line at the security entrance – thirty minutes to two hours for the Louvre.

  • Find more information about the Louvre here and buy tickets there (e-tickets).
  • Learn more about the Orsay museum in this article.
  • Read this article to find out everything you need to know about the Eiffel Tower.
