The Best Bars near the Eiffel Tower in Paris

If you’re in the Eiffel Tower area, chances are you could use a drink (especially if it’s peak season!). The following are my more favored watering holes in this neck of the woods, all with guaranteed good vibes and generous operating hours.

The 10 Best Restaurants Near the Eiffel Tower

Ready?

Bal de la Marine near the Eiffel Tower in Paris

Bal de la Marine is practically attached to the Eiffel Tower its so darn close. Situated right on the edge of the Seine, this swanky bar bring you cocktails and snacks with a view that people have (actually) pawned their homes just to come and see.

There are often live bands performing in the space, and on a Sunday there are few better places to be in Paris. Come early, stay late — you won’t regret it.

One downside, this is a tourist trap and so the prices come to match. €14 for a pint of beer in a plastic cup is enough to send anyone running in the other direction. While it’s steep, I must agree, you do get the bonus of fabulous live music; something that isn’t easy to find in the part of the city.

Le New York near the Eiffel Tower in Paris

Being the sucker I am for anything remotely charming, le New York is naturally my favorite place for drinks beneath the Eiffel Tower. Thankfully, it’s one of the more reasonably priced bars in the area, which makes it all too tempting to lose the better part of an evening here to dinner, drinks and dancing.

The 10 Best Wine Bars in Paris in 2022

The menu is American-style food cooked in traditional French ways — it’s glorious, and worth a visit even if you’re not staying for the evening bar-vibes. They’re great with vegetarian eaters, and will accommodate diets where needed.

Try the Italian tartar, in the New York bar, under the Eiffel Tower in France.

L’Éclair near the Eiffel Tower in Paris

A short walk east and you’ll come to an intimate cocktail bar near the Eiffel Tower. Okay, so it’s not always a cocktail bar — by day L’Éclair is simply a Parisian bistro, where one can eat everything from breakfast to brunch, to lunch and then dinner.

By nigh, however, L’Éclair comes to life, and the cocktails and wine flow like water. It’s a charming spot with bright outdoor lighting, retro vibes and ambient music. I recommend arriving between 7 and 8pm if you want to get a decent table outside — thereafter, this spot becomes packed to the brim and doesn’t really let up until closing (1am).

Frog XVI near the Eiffel Tower in Paris

Yes, Frog XVI has been called “the best bar in the 16th arrondissement” more than a few times, and not without reason. Situated right next to the Trocadero, this gastropub space is full of great beers, greasy foods and good times.

Don’t let the theme deter you, if you’re into fine cocktails and even expensive bottles of bubbles, Frog XVI has what you’re looking for, and welcomes all for a memorable night out. They once served me an Expresso Martini that I’ve been intending to go back for.

Expect a loud crowd, it’s just the nature of the space. Come early for the better tables and keep the following mantra in mind while you’re here: “If you can’t beat em… well, you know the rest”.

Le Gloster near the Eiffel Tower in Paris

If tropical, trendy, chic is more your forte, then le Gloster is where you want to stroll too after your date with the Iron Lady (or during, whatever you’re into).

10 Trendiest Bars in Paris

Le Gloster is a spot for fabulous rum cocktails, and charcuterie boards to write home about. It’s one of the less chaotic and overly stimulating bars in the neighborhood; a place where you can actually connect with someone and exchange meaningful chats over not-too-loud music.

The bar just begs for one to be on their best behavior; this is not a place where you’ll be pushed around trying to get a drink from the bar, or where you’ll struggle to get the bartenders attention all night. On the contrary, the staff are incredibly attentive to all who share the space, and just itching to take you on a journey of mixology senses if you’ll hand them the reins.
