Paris is famous for it’s incredible shopping options, and a shopping trip in Paris is really unlike anything else. Home to some of the best and most prestigious design boutiques and art galleries, Paris is a shopper’s dream. Feeding off centuries’ worth of inspiration from some of the world’s greatest artists, architects, and designers, Parisian boutiques possess something special.  Combining the best in art, fashion, food and interior design in one location, concept stores are the ultimate mélange.

As you can imagine, the city of light is full of concept stores, but which ones are really worth a visit? Read on to see the top 5 concept stores in Paris revealed!

1. Fleux

Since the legendary Colette closed its doors last year, Fleux is perhaps the most well-known concept store in Paris. Of course, its notoriety comes with good reason. Fleux is not your average concept store. A true Parisian favorite since it’s inception in 2005, Fleux is well-worth a visit! Set in the heart of Paris’ arts/design district, Le Marais, Fleux is made up of 6 different neighboring boutiques. Each boutique has a slightly different theme, and offers carefully curated collections from international designers and artists. From home furnishings to decorations, plants and even clothes; Fleux has you covered. Take a stroll on the Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie and shop to your hearts’ content.

2. À Rebours

Le Marais is really the hub of arts and design in Paris, so it’s not so surprising that many of these amazing concept stores are in the same neighborhood. The next up on my list of the top 5 concept stores in Paris is just a few meters away from Fleux! Walk just a little further up the Rue Sainte-Croix de la Bretonnerie and you’ll end up at à Rebours. This boutique really embodies the true definition of a concept store.  The super design 100 sq meter space is showcases unusual and quirky items from housewares to decor, books and gifts of all kinds. À Rebours is a self-described “outpost for conscious trade” and focuses on sourcing unique pieces, all of which are sustainably produced. I love this store because they have special items that I’ve never seen anywhere else. Definitely a great spot to shop for gifts!

As an added bonus, the Parisian health foodie favorite Wild & The Moon just opened a new juice bar/café installment on the ground floor. Offering organic, plant-based food and beverage options, Wild & The Moon has become somewhat of a local institution. It makes sense that their next location would be in one of the top 5 concept stores in Paris! Be sure to try their refreshing cold-pressed juices or refuel after your shopping trip with a savory Buddha Bowl.
