Sandler Center is a state-of-the-art cultural center, home to world-class performances. It opened in November 2007 with a dedicated mission to ‘enrich the lives of residents and guests by providing great and diverse performances, experiences and educational programs for the arts.’ The Center features a beautifully crafted 1,300-seater performance hall, three stunning lobbies, the Miller Studio Theater, and art galleries. In case you have not bought a ticket for a lined-up event in Summer, worry not since the Center hosts several free events throughout the year. Perhaps the most common one is the outdoor summer concert series; Ynot Wednesdays! It takes place every Wednesday at the Sandler Center Outdoor Plaza, June to August from 5 pm to 9 pm. You get to enjoy live, local bands from all genres of music for free, and tasty food from vendors. It is a favorite in the Hampton Roads area.

Take a gallery stroll at the Sandler Center Art Gallery situated on the second and third-floor lobbies. Exhibits are rotated every two months.
