Well there you have it, it is SO NOT a Ticket to Paradise!
As much as I would have liked to like/love/been enthralled by this Clooney and Roberts Rom-Com, it fell short on almost every level.
Their characters were, IMHO, very shallow versions of those in their “Oceans” movies which were much more entertaining and compelling.
I am left wondering if this was a foray into the old Laurence Olivier genre of “let’s just do it for the money and to hell with the quality?”
Cute kids plot but almost buried by the incessant intervention of the Clooney/Roberts subplot. Way over played and not done very well; so transparent that one could easily laugh at it.
Some very cute scenes, and some, but not very much witty dialogue. Overall, no real substance. On a very snarky note, what were they thinking?
Locale visuals were gorgeous but then, so were those in Lethal Weapon and Die Hard.
