I don’t know which title is more apropos. Perhaps both as this film is certainly about a dedicated foodie (pardon me for this) as well as a dedicated sociopath (no apologies here.

To say the “plot” is an intricate web of what becomes, IMHO, a disturbing story of narcissism and self-aggrandizement spread evenly across all the characters, so skillfully crafted by writers Will Tracy and Seth Reiss, is an understatement. (you have to love compound sentences – LOL)

Director Mark Mylod carefully guides the performances of his stars, Ralph Fiennes and Anya Taylor-Joy but it is his direction of the outstanding supporting cast that provides the foundation and ultimately the cohesion that binds the underlying storylines together.

Stunning is Hong Chau as Elsa, and we have another haunting performance by Judith Light as  Anne. It is hard to determine whether Nicholas Hoult as Tyler should be considered a leading or supporting cast member, but one thing is for sure, he truly defines the term self-centered ass-hole!  I give it 4 stars.
